We’ve experienced many drainage problems in housing estates in our local Gold Coast areas and in industrial estates as well. Many of the problems associated with storm water is that your neighbours might raise there levels in there backyards with new sheds or new swimming pools without putting proper drainage to the street causing flooding down stream into your house. Time and time again we see inadequate drainage to the street and with heavy rain events we’ve experienced recently peoples homes have been in the firing line.Council will not help the home owners and take no responsibility at all in cleaning up peoples lives, and all it would of taken is a few pipes into the back yard of your neighbour which he takes no responsibility. We should help our neighbours with these problems to make a better life for us all. Regards Mark Sadler.
