What Equipment is Needed to Excavate?

eight ton excavatorEarthmoving machinery is required to move large chunks of Earth. These machines are specifically designed for excavating. The type of equipment will depend on the type of excavation, also in what kinds of soil, clay, shale ,rock and fill. Some larger machines are to heavy to use in soft soil areas.

This was a chilly morning just about to snow and my buddy mr Kim was there already with the thirty toner warmed up for me. What an amazing country for me to work in and miss it every day.

For rock excavation, boring machines may be used to drill through large sections of rock and dirt. Rock hammers also blast away concrete into small chunks and can demolish stone and concrete walls.

We dug a drain to collect stormwater flowing down the hill,it had flowed a kilometre from up the street.

Our Small five tonne machines are used for specialist footings and drainage applications . Our buckets are usually the same size width as our  trench to save on concrete and drainage gravel costs.

Our machines have amazing truck loading capabilities .Loading trucks in five minutes and can easily load fifty trucks a day.With our eight tonne machine we can easily load eighty trucks in a day.This is a huge saving for our clients as they don’t need huge excavators to load these trucks.

Our machines have many different bucket combinations.

We use mud buckets to load trucks and scrape large areas of dirt.The small teeth buckets are for narrow trenches for drainage and house pad footings.We use a rock grab bucket to pick up concrete ,rubbish, trees and many other objects.
